The CAHR project aims to use its experiences on the ground to influence policy debates on an international level.
Global advocacy will be organised by the CAHR policy partnership, which consists of: International Drug Policy Consortium (IDPC), Harm Reduction International (HRI) and International Network of People who Use Drugs (INPUD).
These partners are leading international advocates for issues including HIV, harm reduction and the rights of people who use drugs.
The project’s international policy priorities include:
- Full and meaningful participation of people who use drugs in policy and programme design.
- A strong commitment to protecting the human rights of people who use drugs.
- Drug and HIV policy which is evidence based.
