The situation with drug use on Bali, Indonesia remains difficult. Most drug users are immigrants (about 65%), whereas 35% are original Balinese. HIV positive injecting drug users have constraints with the costs for laboratory tests such as CD4 test, SGOT/SGPT, DL and viral load test. There is a current need for injecting drug users in detailed information about issues concerning human rights, law related policy, including health information on HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and hepatitis.
